By the time you read this, I will have passed the 100 mile mark in the One NY 1000K Virtual Challenge. 100 miles have been ran in the last 15 days. Week 1’s weather was a show off, filled with beautiful cool mornings, awesome breezes and sunshine that gave me the summer tan glow. Week 2 said, “hold my beer.”
Week 2 came in with a vengeance of 97 degree heat, soup like humidity and a sunburn. Just a quick note, it snowed here in CNY less that 2 weeks ago and it is not even June yet. Here I am setting my alarm earlier and earlier this past week to beat the heat as much as possible. So if you are wondering, no speed records were broken. Paces were not held. It wasn’t pretty. However, it did get done.
A few big things happened this week! I was a guest on a local podcast. More info to come on this! I met a lot of great small business owners. I treated myself to Glazed & Confused donuts, a Strong Hearts milkshake, and a Café Kubal cinnamon roll. I am just about booked for June with awesome local small businesses to showcase and I can’t wait to share them with you! If you or someone you know would like to get involved, please reach out!

Total amount raised for the Food Bank of CNY to date: $1,246.45

Thank you to everyone who has liked, shared, and commented on the posts. THANK YOU to everyone who has donated. I am so excited to share that we have now provided 3,738 meals to our local community. Every day I see the good in our town, even in the worst of times. To be able to partner with each and every one of you in this fundraiser has been awesome experience. The best part is, we are just getting started!
